According to the Nebular Hypothesis, our solar system formed from a rotating cloud of gas and dust that gradually condensed due to gravitational instability. This synthesis explains the formation of the solar system and reflects the core, cosmological truth baked into our DNA. In other words, it’s who we are.
These days, our ability to assemble a common perception of "who we are" is drowned out by fractured floods of noise, an escalating amount of sensory input more suited to machines than the human brain. With increasingly fewer moments of stillness, we beg the question, "If my truth is not your truth, what is THE truth?"
In their original form, these photographs depict streets, everyday objects and natural landscapes. Their "truth" has been manipulated to reflect back an original nebulous state and provide meditative opportunities to re-synthesize our perception of what it means to be human.
